Pastors & Staff

Jim O'Brien

Founding/ Senior Pastor

Originally from New York, Jim and Tammy O’Brien moved to Nashville in 1999 so that Jim could pursue a career in music. Fortunately, God had other plans and set in motion the vision spoken over Jim many years prior. After years of touring, Jim left the road to become a children's pastor then continued to follow God’s path to establish Journey Biker Church in September 2014. Jim and Tammy have been married since November 1992 and have two children.

Caryn Lyons

Children's and Youth Director

Caryn Lyons is passionate for JBC’s youth to be in relationship and to walk with Jesus Christ. With an amazing heart for God, Caryn desires to help teach them how to know the Lord so they will not miss out on what God has in store for their lives. Caryn and her husband Michael have been serving JBC since 2014. Their love and dedication to JBC impacts so many lives and we are so thankful for their family!

Tammy O'Brien

Women's Ministry

If Jim is the face and voice of JBC, then Tammy O’Brien is definitely its heart. Tammy’s love for people truly shows in her dedicated service to planning, organizing, and rounding up volunteers and resources for all JBC’s events. Because of her tireless efforts, Tammy helps set the stage for friendships to develop and for God-changing moments to happen.

Michele Christy

Michele is a seasoned worship leader who has been singing since she was 5.  Michele moved from southern Indiana to go to Belmont University and treasures her musical upbringing - especially learning the art of worship while leading alongside her dad on their worship teams. Her heart is to create space and lead the way so that others can connect with the Lord in song. Michele and her family are excited for this new season at JBC. She and her husband, Ben, live in Spring Hill with their two kids.
